About Us

Established in 1989 by Steve Norvell and Brian Folk, Fresh Water Systems was founded on the mission of providing and supporting the highest quality products and services in the Water Treatment Industry. The company began as a small staff operation focusing specifically on commercial water cooler installation and service. Within a short amount of time, Fresh Water Systems had progressed to become a leader in both commercial and residential water treatment in the southern California market.

In September of 1998, a major National Chain Drug Store approached Fresh Water Systems regarding a water purification system for the reconstitution of oral antibiotics. After comprehensive study of the Pharmacy Market, Fresh Water Systems designed the PharMate® dispensing system for the purification, measuring, and dispensing of water to be used in the reconstitution of liquid suspension oral antibiotics. The complete PharMate® system consists of a high-end Reverse Osmosis water purification system, the PharMate® wall mounted dispenser, and the BioScript™ bacteria control cartridge. This package product was widely received in the industry within a short period of time. Shortly thereafter, Fresh Water Systems began offering and providing this equipment to many National as well as Regional Chain Drug Stores.

Presently, Fresh Water Systems is the preferred vendor for National Pharmacy chains such as Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Albertson’s/Sav-On, Meijer, Fred Meyer and well as many other regional chains, hospital, and independent pharmacies. Fresh Water Systems currently maintains and services over 14,000 retail pharmacies nationwide. To support our large and ever growing pharmacy account customer base, Fresh Water Systems pioneered a unique approach with their products and services through development of a nationwide service network. Currently, Fresh Water Systems offers over 70 professionally trained and dedicated technicians throughout North America that provide installation, support, and annual preventative maintenance services to our pharmacy customers.
